Job Description

Working as an important member of the integrated agency team and working directly with Customers, you’ll play a leading role in helping them deliver class-leading human-to-human integrated marketing campaigns for clients in the UK, throughout Europe, Asia and in the US.

With experience in similar agency roles, you will need to be a motivated self-starter who’s proactive and wants to contribute to the agency’s digital offering. You will be expected to excel in your role working as part of a team who’re delivering across a wide range of digital and analogue media channels.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Utilise your expertise to guide, strategise, and execute on all digital projects undertaken by the agency.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Foster collaboration by working seamlessly with the agency team members across various disciplines.
  • Manage digital projects while providing leadership on digital best practices within the agency.
  • Build strong relationships with third-party partners to ensure smooth, effective project delivery.
  • Support agency project teams in presenting and clearly communicating project work to clients, both directly and indirectly.
  • Set up, configure, and deploy applications on Digital Ocean hosting via Laravel Forge using NGINX.
  • Collaborate with external development partners for the development and ongoing maintenance of larger-scale projects.
  • WordPress Plugin Updates and Security: Keep plugins up-to-date to maintain site security, performance, and functionality by promptly applying patches, monitoring security threats, using firewalls and security plugins, scanning for malware, and adhering to data protection best practices.
  • Content Management: Make updates to existing content and create new pages to ensure a relevant and engaging digital experience.

 

Required Skills:

  • Object Orientated PHP
  • Using GIT workflow for the sharing and tracking of code development
  • Nuxt (VueJS Scaffold)
  • JavaScript (ES6)
  • VueJS
  • Knowledge of DNS configuration
  • Strong knowledge of content management systems such as Expression Engine and WordPress (Bedrock)
  • Knowledge of MySQL (Maria DB) queries and management
  • Linux, Apache, and Nginx server management
  • Google analytics and tag manager

Advantageous Skills:

  • Laravel Framework
  • Usage of package managers such as Composer and NPM
  • JQuery
  • Knowledge of Vagrant configuration for local development
  • Knowledge of webpack for asset processing
  • Usage of Cloudflare and configuration of DNS
  • Experience with Amazon Cloudfront and S3
  • A general understanding of HTML and CSS
  • Spreadsheet/data management

Reports, support, and development

The role reports to the Digital Communications Director, with collaborative accountability to all colleagues.

Support for role development is available and will be managed via regular one-to-ones in conjunction with more formal performance reviews alongside our external Talent Manager.

Full role support, development, and training - internally and externally - is available and encouraged.

This will be mapped through your one-to-one meetings and your personal development plan and can be discussed and addressed at any time.

Hybrid Work Environment

The agency operates a hybrid work style where, working remotely is welcomed, along with a commitment to be able to attend the agency when required, usually 2 days per week, as well as other occasions dictated by project requirements. With consideration to your location, remote working is fine, however we’d like you to visit the agency as and when required, dependant on work or social occasions.
